Psychic Vera's Diary

May 21, 2003

Rule by Petulance and Humiliation.

"This president has used humiliation as a weapon, not only against our enemies but against our friends."

"This president has exercised foreign policy by petulance."

--Howard Dean, Democratic presidential candidate

Dearly Beloved, avenge not yourselves, vengeance is mine saith the Lord, I will repay. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him. If he thirst give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

--Romans 12;19-20

As usual, Howard Dean is right when he describes Bush's foreign policy as petulant and that he governs by humiliation. Our current president is an ego-centric spiteful little man who is quick to take offense. He likes to punish villains because they deserve it, but he also likes to punish anyone that threatens his fragile ego. Those that go up against him get paid back in spades. One of the reasons he went after Saddam was in order to punish him for supposedly trying to assassinate his father. He has tried to destroy all the achievements of the Clinton administration because he wanted to punish the ex-president for wresting the office away from his father and the Republican Party, who thought it had a lock on the presidency. Everything Bush does is personal. He has no talent or inclination for looking at the big picture, of sacrificing his own needs and agenda in order to make this country a better place for the American people, or of rising above his own whims. As my ex-husband used to say in describing others of his ilk, he is nothing but a petty tyrant.

Today I read another article describing the present problems of reconstructing Iraq. The author mentioned that rather than utilizing lessons about nation building learned by the Clinton administration in Bosnia and Kosovo, the Bushies have blindly set up protocols in Iraq that seem to be floundering. The same refusal to smartly build on Clinton's successes in the Middle East exemplifies the pettiness of the tyrannical Bush regime. From Iraq to the Middle East, to the horrendous budget deficit, to the energy crisis in California, to its punishment of France and Germany for their refusal to support the war, Bush has operated spitefully, to the detriment of the American people as well as to those in the rest of the world.

I read another discouraging article about what Bush is doing with the budget. Thomas Frank in his Harper's article,"Get Rich or Get Out--Attempted Robbery with a Loaded Federal Budget," supports what William Greider and others have said as well as what I've talked about in this Diary, about the Bush plan for bankrupting the federal government. Bush and his rich buddies do not want to support the services all of us take for granted, because they don't use them. I don't think most Americans really understand this. The Bushies want private enterprise to hijack all government services, except for defense and maybe homeland security. Can you imagine what is going to happen after these huge budget cuts go into effect? We will be living in a Mad Max kind of world, folks. This is no joke. With this possible future in mind, Psychic Chuck has been thinking about becoming an ex-patriot. I think many Americans may be considering such a drastic move.

Countdown to Saturn in Cancer

This is a reminder that Saturn will move into Cancer on June 3, at 6:32 P.M. PDT, 9:30 PM EDT. I hate to admit it,but I'm looking forward to all those mean and miserable Bushies who are Cardinal Signs( Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) getting throttled by the Big Karmic Smackdown in the sky, Saturn. I don't want to frighten all you conscious God-fearing folks that are Cardinal Signs. You'll just have to work a little harder for the next 2 1/2 years to do your duty, to take responsibility. But anybody that's been accruing karma and trying to avoid atonement is going to get their comeuppance. Bush and the Republican Party are high on the list for Saturn's smackdown. Unfortunately under Bush and the Republican Party rule, American citizens have also accrued group karma.

The degree symbol for the Republican party's symbol is illuminating: Two thrones under two canopies. On the left lies a mongrel dog asleep and on the right one a big rat with a crown on its head lies in wait. This is called a degree of 'usurpation' which is apropos for a Party that stole or usurped the presidency. The Koppejans in their Zodiac Image Handbook, the Cardinal Signs, write that individuals with this symbol are embroiled in the "basest conspiracies that undermine their authority and power. The methods they have to use or face are abominable. On a low level of spiritual awareness these people identify with the rats...and may either overthrow their betters by guile or forcibly usurp power with the aid of the mob." We all remember how the Florida recount was stopped in Dade County by a mob of men that were trucked in from out of state to intimidate the county officials. The individuals that have this degree prominent, the Koppejans go on to say, may have chances to take power in a society but they are not spiritually prepared to do so. Consequently, they make bad mistakes, and are toppled from their position by subversion and/or revolution. This karmic payback is due to their irresponsible and unjust behavior.

We will wait with bated breath for Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, Pat Robertson, Tom DeLay, Ralph Reed, Colin Powell, Oliver North, the Republican Party, Sun Moon, and George Bush himself to take it in the shorts.
