Worst Christmas Sales in Ten Years

If retailers thought the sagging economy was going to get a boost during this Christmas season, they've been sadly mistaken. People were afraid to spend money this year because they're not sure they'll have a job after January 1 or they've already lost their job during this typically Republican recession. Hmm, the worst Christmas sales in 10 years ago would make 1991 as the last really bad Christmas season. Who was in the White House then? Could it have been George H..W Bush? Is there a pattern here? A war, a recession, a bad Christmas season. Some people just don't seem to see it because they have no historical memory. Depressions, recessions, wars, stolen elections, all world events just pass them by. I wonder if the evil events of September 11 will even be remembered next year by the flag wavers and George Bush idolaters.

It seems that Americans are living in two worlds, divided by their levels of consciousness and never the twains shall meet. One worldl is filled with people that were so frightened by what happened on September 11, that they've put Bush on a pedestal, praying that he is their savior who will protect them from all horrible experiences in the future. They have been so terrified, they are willing to give up their civil liberties, and all their ideals of an egalitarian system that safeguards our environment, promotes alternative fuels, and which supports a robust economy and social security safety net.

Then there are the others that are frightened of the Bush administration and what it has planned for this country. They're frightened of the mainstream media that suffocates the truth and covers the tracks of those greedy self-centered takers in the White House. These individuals wonder why those in the first group are putting so much trust in an inept man that wasn't elected, a man who has claimed almost dictatorial power during one of the worst years in American life and has said he's had a "fabulous time" doing it. Bill Clinton was the little boy with his thumb in the dike, protecting us from the evil that threatened to overcome us. Now that he's gone, we have another little boy, who instead of putting his finger in the dike, has shrugged his shoulders and walked away, allowing the flood waters to overtake us. Not one good thing has happened since Bush has been in power. And it will only get worse until he's gone.

I keep having this depressing thought during this holiday season, but I can't seem to get beyond it. Another psychic friend, Pamela, says she sees that we are heading for very rough waters. Natural disasters, bioterrorism, a time of cleansing, she said. Other psychics and astrologers concur with our grim forebodings. I still hold out hope that we don't have to go through this, but we must remove the present regime that has sacrificed the good of this country for their own personal gain. Unfortunately, as Bush is the hapless representative of America, we all are being drawn into his karma. The Bush family has so much to atone for, that when the karmic wheel has finally come to a stop, there may not be much left of the United States.

Sharon and Israel: A Duo of Doom?

When I look at Ariel Sharon's chart and compare it to Israel's, I'm aghast. It looks like the dangerous idiot is leading the Israelis into the valley of the shadow of death, and God may not be with them.

Ariel Sharon's Moon in Taurus square Neptune in Leo and Mercury in Pisces is an aspect of self-delusion extraordinare. It is tied into Israel's Sun in Taurus, Mars in Leo, and Chiron in Scorpio T-Square. The interpretation might be: Sharon's self-delusion is triggering Israel's self-destructive and violent side. Remember in 1982, under another American Republican president, Sharon's impulsive, irratic nature(Uranus and Jupiter conjunct the Aries Ascendent) came to the fore and he was responsible for thousands of civilian deaths in Beirut.

According to an article in Vanity Fair, Sharon does not like Bush the First, (probably because of that administration's refusal to meet with him because of his aggressive role in building settlements in the occupied territories), but he does like Bush the Second. The mutual admiration between the two water sign leaders may be the reason that Colin Powell has said, "We're not about to tell Sharon what he should do." Not only has the Bush administration given Sharon the go ahead, tacitly or otherwise, for the bombing of Arafat headquarters, bad boy Bush, himself, has blasted Arafat on numerous occasions and Cheney condoned the assassination of a Palestinian leader a couple of months before the September 11 terrorist attack.

Apparently if Bush likes you, you can do no wrong. This is a dangerous character trait for an American president to have, but it fits with his current astrological aspects. Neptune, the planet of illusion, is sitting on Bush's descendant (relationships), so he won't be seeing his relationships with others very clearly and he will be hoodwinked and sideswiped. I'm afraid Putin may fall in this category of deceptive friends, as well. George the Second inherited this trait from his father, though. Apparently, George the First, really likes the ex- Chilean dictator Auguste Pinochet, and is willing to overlook all of the bastard's evil doings.

While Bush the First at least threatened to withhold funding from Israel if they didn't try to work with the Palestinians(the First didn't like the little monkey, Yitzhak Shamir, Israel's Prime Minister at that time), Bush the Second has done nothing to end the Sharonian violence. Maybe subconsciously he likes it. It's a terrible thing for me to say about a president of the United States, but Bush the Second did seem to get a kick out of the death penalty while he was governor in Texas and he's enjoyed the hell out of bombing Afghanistan to rid the world of the THE EVIL ONE. If he likes Sharon, he must see him as the good guy, and Arafat as the bad guy. So does Democrat Charles Schumer who says," The PLO is like the Taliban...and Israel is like America, simply trying to protect its home front." There's not much hope for a peace settlement in the Middle East if the US president and Senators hold this good guy/bad buy perspective on Israel and Palestine. Unlike Clinton, who tried his darndest to get a settlement, working with Arab and Jew alike, this president holds an adversarial view that does more harm than good.

After the September 11 bombings, Bush let it slip out that he supports a Palestinian homeland. That was terrifying to Sharon and other Israeli militants who quickly had to ratchet up the violence to show Bush and company how dangerous the Palestinians really were. Sharon's militant hatred is so extreme now that he refused to allow Arafat to attend Christmas Eve ceremonies in a Christian church in Bethlehem, a tradition that he has taken part in since 1995, a tradition that goes back to the occupation of Palestine by the Ottoman Turks. It was very sad to see the defamation of a Christian tradition. Christ's message was love your neighbor as yourself and love God. He didn't exclude Arabs from that admonition. He didn't say love everyone but Arafat, did he?
