The recent settlement between Microsoft and the Bush Justice Department proves that crime does pay. There are at least two crimes on display in this settlement. Crime number one is the greedy monopoly Microsoft is allowed to continue in lieu of the recent judicial decision, while crime number two is the obvious bribe that Microsoft made to the Bush campaign before the election to support a different outcome than the Clinton administration was pursuing. Dave Sims in his article, "Microsoft settlement seen as a sham by many foes" in the Press Democrat mentions that "according to the Wall Street Journal, it(Microsoft) became a major contributor to the Republican Party after the case came to trial in 1998."

Therefore, Gates contributes lots of money to Bush and the Republicans just to get a favorable settlement for his monopoly. If only Gates had been at least contrite, the original judge's decision may have been more lenient. Maybe then, Gates wouldn't have supported the Republicans and been partially responsible for putting an idiot in office, an idiot that continues to wreck havoc on the rest of us in order to push his own selfish agenda.

Bill Gates is often described as "the man people most love to hate." What does his horoscope indicate about this selfish, greedy behavior? As a Scorpio with a Cancer rising sign, he is obviously an intense, fixated individual(Scorpio) who tenaciously holds on because of feelings of insecurity (Cancer). This insecurity makes him possessive (Scorpio) and unwilling to share, although he can be generous (Jupiter in the Second House of money), as indicated by the millions he gives to good causes. But, with his Venus conjunct Saturn in Scorpio, his possessiveness and a lack of warmth and generosity is also displayed to his "loved ones." With Uranus (the freaky planet) in the First House of the Personality, he is obviously an independent oddball, that doesn't have much desire to cooperate with others, while the Moon in Aries in the 10th House of Career thinks it can do anything it wants in society, and not have to pay the consequences or have to acknowledge how its actions affect others. There's nothing much in his chart to indicate that he would ever be a cooperative, warm kind of guy. He does have Mars and Mercury in Libra which indicates that he can see the other person's side but with a conflicted opposition aspect to the Moon in Aries, he more than likely shows any conciliatory behavior to his family, and not in the dog eat dog atmosphere of the business world. Further, Gates doesn't have any Earth signs which means to me that he doesn't have much common sense about what his role in the world should really be. He can't seem to see that being less selfish and possessive will not only benefit the rest of the world but will attract positive energy to Microsoft, as well.

Another indicator that Gates is really a space case with a lack of grounding is his Sun conjunct Neptune. He's in a fog of delusion about his own identity as he seems to view himself as something of a world savior(God bless Microsoft, who brought us all of the software for the personal computer).

Under the Clinton administration, Saturn was in Taurus. For the past two and a half years, this was a stressful influence on Gates and all other fixed signs. Saturn is a teacher as well as the planet of limitations. Unfortunately, I don't think Gates came to terms with his limitations or learned any positive lessons from Saturn in Taurus, which could help to alter his greedy behavior. Now Saturn has gone on to the sign Gemini and it seems that Gates has weaseled out of it one more time. If we take into consideration, however, the apparent speeding up of cause and effect (see the excellent article by Rav Berg at kabbalah.com), the god of microsoft may still get his comeuppance. Already several state justice departments are refusing to accept the settlement.

The speeding up of cause and effect may not only bring speedily resolution to various crimes and misdemeanors perpetrated by Microsoft or the Bush administration, or any other corporate body that puts its own selfish greed ahead of the wishes of the people, it will also profoundly affect all of us. The interval between cause and effect is getting smaller because we don't have much time left to raise the consciousness of this planet and its denizens before we destroy it with our hate and toxic wastes. Rav Berg, in his article, September 11, lays the blame for the terrorist attack on the high level of toxic hatred that resides on the metaphysical level. Right after the attacks on the World Trade Center, Psychic Bob asked me if negative energy from the violence in our own society could have gathered on the astral plane and contributed to this hateful terrorist attack. Considering the level of anger, despair, and hatred collecting on the astral plane from all societies across the planet, it's amazing, I guess, that we didn't blow ourselves up a long time ago. Despite our failings, someone up there must like us. They must be protecting us from utter destruction. All people of good faith must pray that they continue to do so.
