Many anti-Bush organizations seem to be suspending their criticism in lieu of the slaughter of the innocents last Tuesday. The Sierra Club, for example, has stopped criticizing Bush on environmental issues. I can't in good conscience, however, stop my criticism because much of the blame for the horrible mass murder in New York can be laid at the feet of the Republicans that have been in the White House since Nixon won the presidency in 1968. Although many Democrats can be accused of complicity with the disastrous foreign policy the Republicans have initiated over the past thirty years, the Republicans are the party of John Wayne shoot em up theatrics, dramas that have supported tacitly or otherwise the slaughter of thousands of individuals in third world countries. Taliban Trainers Meet with old Reagan Bush CIA Contacts

The latest outrage regarding Bush foreign policy before the terrorist attack is mentioned in the article, Bush and the Taliban, by Wayne Madsen, printed in In These Times online. According to Madsen, an official of the Pakistani fundamentalist Jamiaat-Islami Party, (who trained the Taliban), was warmly welcomed in Washington recently. While in this country he re-established connections with the Taliban's old CIA contacts made under the Reagan Bush regime. As soon as Bush got into office, the Taliban's ambassador at large, Rahmatullah Hashami, met with Richard Helms, former CIA director and US Ambassador to Iran. Helms, apparently, has a niece-in-law, Laili Helms, who set up the meeting. She is the Taliban's unofficial representative in Washington! Other old Reagan Bush personnel that the Taliban saw while here included former South Asia CIA chief Richard Armitage, now Colin Powell's deputy. When we analyze the recent Republican contacts with representatives of the Taliban, we once again find a correlation with the first Bush's treatment of Saddam Hussein right before he invaded Kuwait. He seemed to have been given the go-ahead by US representatives that met with him just days before. It seems inconceivable that once again we have had warm relations with totalitarian and murderous regimes just prior to their heinous attacks upon humanity.

Cheney Rules

Cheney in his appearance on Meet the Press, apparently told Americans that he took over the government while Bush was tooling around the country on the day of the attack. According to Eric Schmidt, a reporter for the New York Times in his article,"Cheney Reveals Key Role He Played From Bunker", he told "Bush to stay away from Washington, ordered the congressional leadership evacuated, dispersed Cabinet members to emergency shelters and urged Bush to direct fighter jets to shoot down any rogue airliner that threatened the Capitol or the White House." Is it reassuring to know that the Vice President tells the president what to do? Maybe. Maybe not. Although Bush is inexperienced and shallow, he seems less sinister than Cheney, who is experienced and has a long history of both a malignant voting record while in the House of Representatives and as CEO of Halliburton oil, a strong association with the abusive president of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev in order to get access to one of the largest untapped oil reserves in the world.

Bush Finally Speaks Without Snafus

Bush did a good job of communicating while at a Mosque yesterday. He exhorted all Americans to treat Moslems with respect, and he did so in a convincing manner.

.Difficult Astrological Indicators

More negative astrological aspects are in store for the US. While Saturn was within two degrees of an exact opposition to Pluto in the U.S. chart on September 11, this apect will be exact on November 2. Transiting Saturn(loss and karma) is in the First House (representing the people) of the U.S. Chart while Pluto(criminal acts) is in the Seventh House of enemies. Leading into this exact opposition in November is Mercury retrograding throughout October and a transiting Jupiter in the Second House of money squaring the US Saturn in the Fifth House of the Stock Market peaking on October 9. I'm very concerned that the government won't launch its attack until Mercury starts going retrograde in October. This would be very bad timing for a war campaign. Although the US usually launches an attack while Mars is in Gemini or Sagittarius, Mars is now in Capricorn and will go into Aquarius in October. If the US does go to war during this time, obviously the pattern had been broken. Obviously, this is not going to be a war like the others, because it will be difficult to target a specific country, like we did with Iraq during the Gulf War.

Negroponte, the former sinister Ambassador to Honduras, is now our Ambassador to the UN, despite information that he looked the other way while Honduran death squads rampaged across that country. Because of the terrorist attack, many nefarious Bush appointees may be confirmed by Congress. Evil is everywhere. It has come from the outside through terrorism and lurks inside our borders, empowered by the mindless attacks on our Moslem and Hindu citizens as well as through gaining power and influence in our government. We are in real trouble. I do have confidence in the majority of Americans, however, to be able to combat the evil that lurks here.
