Sept 15 Nine months of Hell It's been nine months of hell since George Bush has been in office. Actually, Hell started on election night and our lives have grown darker and grimmer until we've finally been thrown into the blackest of holes with the terrorist attack in New York. How much longer do we have, Lord? How much more are we going to have to endure? Every day, since he's been in the White House, there has been a new outrage. I've grown angrier and angrier until I've had to learn how to control or be devoured by it. The feeling of helplessness is the most damaging. There is also the distinct impression that most of these men at the top don't give a rat's ass about anyone, despite their protestations to the contrary. We are in a horrible cycle in this country and we've got to get rid of the Enemy's occupation of the White House. I guess it's not politically correct to go after George when we are in such a vulnerable position. Ninety one percent of the people polled say they support George Bush. Everyone in Washington is trying to show a united front to exhibit strength against the terrorists. I can't help expressing my pain and anger, though, because I'm convinced that Republican policies over the years have led up to this catastrophe. In 1998, Gary Hart and Wayne Rudman co-chaired an anti-terrorism commission and issued their report to Bush after he took over the White House. In the report they stated that we're vulnerable to a massive terrorist attack. Bush ignored their findings and decided to give the responsibility of setting up a separate investigation to Dick Cheney. Dick never got to it. By the way, why hasn't Cheney talked to the American people about the terrorist attack in New York? Could it be that the administration is protecting him from criticism that might arise if the news media went after the story about his tacit support for the Israeli assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine? Or is he keeping a low profile because he is a major terrorist target. I haven't felt safe since Bush entered the White House. Now I believe that anything can happen to us, and the cycle will only worsen unless we remove the Republicans from office. We need to promote and follow a loving spiritual path in this country and not allow ourselves to get molested by an empty materialism that is destroying our families and eroding all of our moral values. Believe me, evil lurks everywhere and is not just found in the terrorists that slaughtered innocent people. There are many bad people here at home like Jerry Falwell, who said that gays, the ACLU, and pro-abortionists made God allow the terrorist attack. The man is mentally retarded as well as in league with the Devil. Pat Robertson, another unctuous fellow traveler, agreed with Falwell, of course. How long must we put up with these dangerous fools, Oh Lord? My friend Andre in The Netherlands says that he doesn't agree with my statement in the last journal entry about Dick Cheney. But he does believe that "the Repulsivans may be blamed for causing it indirectly by stealing the presidency. Now, all the people are in power, headed by Bush jr., who waged the desert storm war. Last week's attack was really a counter attack from the viewpoint of Saddam, who, of course, is the real culprit. Ben Laden is just used to avert public attention so that the Administration keeps its hands free for the moment." I think Andre may be right about Saddam, but perhaps there are others behind him, the same Americans and other internationals that were behind him before the Gulf War. And I'll stick by what I said about Dick Cheney possibly being the match that ignited the hatred of the terrorists enough to move forward with their well planned attack. It's stupid and dangerous for a head of state to be vocal about his support tacitly or otherwise of the assassination of any political leader.
