Jeffords abandonment of the Republican Party is a great relief to everyone that I've talked to, including my friends, Andre and Max in Holland, who follow our politics very closely. Still, there is danger. The Democrats must follow up and make a strong stand against the Bush agenda or the Party will become as perilously ineffective as the Weimar Republic. Mercury will be retrograde when Jeffords officially sits in his chair as an independent. There is always the possibility that this Democratic majority is not sustainable, that the Republicans have more dirty tricks up their sleeve. However, Bush won a Mercury retrograde election which makes me believe that every time Mercury is retrograde in his future, he will have to defend his stolen mandate.

Hopefully this is the beginning of karmic retribution. As the Republicans and Bush have sown, so shall they reap. They are both to blame for this grave error in judgement. While the Republicans were mean and vindictive to Jeffords and anyone else that isn't in lockstep with their agenda, Bush acts like a spoiled child. He always thinks he will get his way, even though he doesn't deserve to, and he can treat anyone any way he wants. This is based on a personal history of being spoiled by his wealthy parents. Any mistake he made was covered up by the old man and woman. Both Bush and the Republican Party think they can get away with murder. This time, thank God, they've been caught. Remember, evil (and the Republicans have been shaking hands with the Devil) always go too far and evil's excessiveness is at the root of it's ultimate demise.

Boy Bush is beginning to get Saturn aspects which denote loss, even though he has, at the same time, Jupiter,(the great beneficent), energies involving the house of friends. Once again it appears that friends are helping him to dig out of his hole. And friends in the Congress have helped to pass his foolhardy tax cut. This is temporary. In late June and early July, Jupiter will be gone and Saturn will back to frustrate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him struggle. He needs to be disciplined.
