Unfortunately, Israel will reap karma for its aggressive actions against Lebanon, setting off a very dangerous confrontation that the Middle East can well do without. Looking at the nation's birth chart, however, it is obvious that planetary cycles have a strong influence on countries as well as persons.
With Saturn beginning to make its return to its natal place in the 10th house of public standing, Israel's reputation may well be in tatters before this conflict is finished. With transiting Saturn moving into a conjunction with the natal Pluto, might will not make right and the dark side is already in the ascendancy. Saturn with Pluto always indicates that there are severe consequences(Saturn) to authoritarian behavior(Pluto). It's a shame that the path to peace will be further blocked as Saturn squares Israel's north and south nodes in Taurus and Scorpio. With the positive north node in Taurus in the Seventh House of partnerships, Israel could have chosen to establish relationships with other countries to withstand aggression from terrorists groups like Hezbollah and establish peace(Taurus), but with the negative South Node in Scorpio in the First House, their go-it-alone(First House) tendencies perpetuate the darkness and chaos(Scorpio).
Israel's cause is not helped by a transiting Mars soon to return to it's natal place, nor a progressed Moon still conjunct progressed Mars and square(conflict) progressed Uranus in the 8th house of Death. In fact this square is part of a configuration with Jupiter in the second house of money, which not only indicates Israel's extremist action(Jupiter) but the foolish spending of funds(second house of money) to pay for this dangerous foray. Further indication that dark energy is involved is transiting Pluto triggering this Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars/Moon configuration.
Let's pray that no one else gets into it, because with mercury retrograde adding to communication difficulties, Armageddon could be on its way. Unfortunately, we don't have an administration that can diffuse the situation. Yesterday I heard the Syrian ambassador to the U.S. say that the previous administration would have sent envoys to the Mideast and diffused the situation while Bush and his ilk have done absolutely nothing but blame Syria. Further indication of Bush's stupidity came today when he rebuffed the plea from the Lebanese president, to help bring peace to the region.
Going after Hezbollah is one thing, bombing Beirut, killing civilians and destroying the already fragile Lebanese government is another. According to the catastrophic planetary aspects, Israel is just setting itself up for a Middle-Eastern disaster. Besides alienating countries like Jordan who try to continue to relate to Israel, rogue states like Iran with crazy leaders will become more tolerable. Combining a more popular Iran with the Shiites already in power in Iraq will increase Israel's problems tenfold. Furthermore, we don't have the manpower to assist Israel if her enemies close in because we are overly deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Further, once gas prices increase to 4 bucks an gallon due to this war , Israel's popularity in this country will sink even further; so will George Bush's, who seems to be eager to let Israel do what it wills in order to bring on Armageddon, such a popular possibility amongst religious right wing nuts that he holds so close to his bosom.
