Shake-Up in Bush Administration Leads to Ouster of President

April 20, 2006

New White House Chief of Staff, Joshua Bolton, has been very busy shaking up the Bush administration by demoting Karl Rove and firing Press Secretary Scott McClellan. White House insiders say Bolton is far from finished, however, and has apparently targeted the president, himself, for a White House coup.

Overheard to have said, "The Republicans are going to lose in November unless we get rid of these yoyos,” it is conjectured that Bolton will claim the presidency himself to win back Republicans that have drifted due to Bush’s incompetence and lack of leadership.

When asked about the line of succession legally going to Cheney as Vice president, Bolton reminded White House staff that the VP is even less popular than Bush, and his ratings in one poll fell below OJ Simpson and Michael Jackson, only Paris Hilton rated lower than Cheney in that same poll.

Further questions regarding the legality of Bush’s ouster without impeachment, drew only scorn from the new Chief of Staff. “I’m just following the Bush doctrine that says I can do anything I want to do because I’m the president. I’m the decider. I’ve declared that I’m the president now."

“How am I any different from Cheney, that when asked to find a qualified Vice President to run with Bush, picked himself. Well, I’ve been asked by the president to get rid of anyone that is dragging down the Republican Party. Voilá, look who I’ve found."

Bolton told interested parties that he wasn’t worried about Congress objecting to the ouster of the president. Bush never followed the Constitution and has gotten away with it from day one. The Republicans will be glad that they don’t have to appear with Bush anymore and since I’m the president now, they have to go along with everything I want. Since I am Leo, the lion, I'll be in my kingly role as president."
