The lying Swift Boat Veterans and their cohorts from the Bush Administration are presently the Pluto thugs that are trying to intimidate John Kerry. Although Pluto is barely within one degree orb of Kerry's Sun in his First House of Personality, it is also in range of an opposition to Kerry's progressed Saturn (lessons, limitations, karma) in his Seventh House of Relationships. That's bad enough Pluto power to create pressure from these dark accusers. Will he buckle under to Pluto intimidation?
It's interesting that the first time Pluto made a challenging aspect to his Sun Moon Saturn Opposition took place during the Vietnam War. From August of 1966 when he first entered Naval Officer Candidate School, all through 1967 and 1968, and through July of 1969, he had to face Pluto square his Sun and then square his Saturn. His heroism in Viet Nam happened during this square from transiting Pluto to his Natal Sun opposing Saturn.
The good news is that by mid September Pluto it will have moved out of that one degree orb of his Sun and by election day will be at least two degrees away. However, it will still be barely in orb of the opposition to progressed Saturn. I don't think it will be strong enough to douse his presidential hopes by election day, although it will be in orb of natal Saturn at the time of his inauguration. It's obvious that even if he wins, he is still going to be under a lot of pressure from the dark side to cave in.
Bush, meanwhile, will be facing a Saturn waterloo of his own making. That planet sometimes known as the destroyer will be making its return in Bush's 12th House of Self-Undoing around the election, squaring (blocking) his progressed Venus/Jupiter conjunction (blissful expansion) in his fourth house of the home. Comparing the two Saturns in each of the candidate's chart is interesting. While Kerry has a strong Saturn in his Seventh House of relationships, aspecting his Sun, Moon, MC, and Jupiter, Bush's Saturn has no major aspects to any major planets. With an unaspected Saturn, Bush is irresponsible and has never had to discipline himself or pay the piper for his puer behavior.
I didn't like seeing Kerry’s Pluto Saturn aspects when I analyzed them during the primary season. Compared to Dean I wasn't certain he could withstand this kind of pressure, but now he appears to be resisting Pluto energy and not giving in. Not giving into it means that he stands up for himself without resorting to the evil energies that Karl Rove is using to try to elect his lover boy Bush.
Pardon me while I digress a minute and discuss Rove who is absolutely behind this swift boat smear, being good friends with the swift boat veterans chief moneyman, Bob Perry. Rove is behind all dirty smears for George, beginning with spreading the rumor that former Texas Governor, Anne Richards, is a lesbian, that John McCain fathered a mixed race child out of wedlock, and turned his back on Vietnam veterans as well as committing other crimes. Rove is no doubt behind the horrible campaign against former Senator Max Cleland. His chickenhawk opponent, Saxby Chambliss what goofy mother would name a child Saxby), ran commercials that morphed Max's face into Saddam Hussein and Osama Bid Laden's, impugning his patriotism.

He's a Capricorn with the Moon in Cancer, which means that his hard manipulative shell (Sun in Capricorn) on the outside is a cover for his numerous self-centered fears (Moon in Cancer), which include loss of control and being hurt. His mother killed herself, his biological father didn't want to have anything to do with him and his step-father walked out one Christmas, on Rove's birthday. And there wasn’t one thing Karl could do to prevent those events and now he’s making us all pay for his desperate need for control.
I'll talk about Rove at a later date when I examine the collective unconscious of the Bush administration in another artile. Hopefully, that will be one of the last critical pieces I write about these thugs because they will be out of office and the Kerrys will be living in the White House.
Back to Kerry. Other presidential candidates have had to face Pluto. John Kennedy's Sun was square transiting Pluto during the 1960 election season. I feel he gave into the mafia and allowed them to rig his election in Illinois. Michael Dukakis had the conjunction of the Sun and Pluto when he faced another type of intimidation from the Bush bunch with the Willy Horton ad. He didn't give up his integrity, but he didn't fight back soon enough. Kerry, I believe, is fighting back now and he won't give up his soul to win the election. In the past, the Democrats have tried to make nice with the Republicans and they’ve failed to hit back until it’s too late. I hope everyone has learned that you can't pet a rabid dog.
