Psychic Vera's Diary

October 23

Bad Month for Bush and his Beastly Boys

Saturn continues to make October a bad month for George Bush. Thai farmers put his picture in a clay pot and tossed it into the Ping River in northern Thailand. "This is a traditional northern Thai ceremony aimed at keeping his spirit down on the riverbed so he could not come and exploit our national resources or suppress our brother with his superior influence," said Weerasak Wan-ubol, an executive of the Northern Farmer's Alliance in Thailand. Members of the Alliance were protesting plans for a tree trade agreement between Thailand and the US as well as protesting Bush's military intervention in sovereign nations.

Things are getting pretty hairy when our leader is cursed with black magic. Of course the religious right wing will say that God will protect him, none-the-less, but I don't think the Lord is on Bush's side any longer. He's gone too far with his arrogant bullying. His chits are coming due.

Apparently George thinks God will love him even more if he prays spread-eagle on the floor, his face pushed into the carpet. Don't people pray on their knees anymore? Someone that walked into the Oval office saw his praying posture but I can't remember who it was or when or where I read it. I asked fundamentalist Bob about it and he said that's how some fundys pray. I mentioned it to Rat and he said it was too bad Bush's face wasn't pushed into a pile of dog shit instead of the carpet.

Bush is almost inciting people to riot. I saw Howard Dean on a streaming video version of his talk with the editors of USA Today and he said that besides the War in Iraq and the terrible economy, Bush has helped to destroy the feeling of community in this country;he is the most divisive president in history. After saying during the run-up to the 2000 election that he was a uniter not a divider, it's pathetic that he was only referring to his so-called bipartisan perspective while he was governor in Texas. There were several kiss-ass Democrats in the Texas legislature that went along with his programs. He cooperates as long as people do what he wants. You'd think that with all his Libra planets, like Clinton who had a strong Libra influence also, that he would be a diplomat, able to see many sides to an issue. But unlike Clinton, who had his Libra planets harmoniously aspected, Bush's Libra energy is in conflict with his Cancer Sun, and apparently the Cancer peevishness and vindictiveness wins out.

Severe Pain To Come Before People Wake Up?

The question being discussed lately by my friends and loved ones is whether the US has to go through severe pain before its citizens wake up and realize that the Bushies and the Republican Party have hijacked this country, interested in locking up all the resources for themselves and committing any immoral, unethical and unsavory act to accomplish their goal. Will we have to descend into a hole like Calcutta or a Mad Max hell before we learn our lessons and move forward into a progressive partnership with the rest of the world? Many have already lost hope that we can beat the Repub's grim reaper, without our society descending into chaos first.

I keep thinking about Economist Ravi Batra's book, The Coming Great Depression of 1990 where he outlines the four economic cycles and the type of people that govern during each. As I've mentioned several times, we are in the Acquisitor cycle. This country began in the intellectual cycle. The founding fathers were obviously brilliant men who came up with a Constitution that's still workable two and a quarter centuries later, but in the 1800's the United States was overtaken by the acquisitor cycle in which the government is run by business. So is culture and religion. Greedy televangelists, sleazy tv programs dominate the airwaves. There is nothing uplifting or edifying. After the acquisitor cycle we slide into chaos until the next bunch comes to power--the military and the police.

Today Psychic Chuck said he was getting to the point of hating this country which is a pretty radical statement from a normally taciturn individual. He repeated his desire to move out of the country if the Democrats don't win in 2004 because it's going to be impossible to live here.

Steve G. said he felt like an alien now. He felt alienated from the government and the culture. He was also apprehensive about the possibility of another attack because the Bush administration has created a breeding ground for terrorists in Iraq.

Fundamentalist Bob said well known psychic Sylvia Browne claimed that the Democrats were going to win in 2004. Chuck wondered if she was wistfully prophesying.

E-Mail to Joe Conason

I read an article written by Joe Conason today, one of my favorite columnists, that I disagreed with. He took issue with the liberals crowing on Prescott Bush, the president's grandfather, because he was a stockholder of a bank that gave money to the Nazis. I wrote the following email to him:

I would almost support your point of view of not making a big deal out of Prescott Bush's connection to the Nazis, if other members of the Bush Family were more discriminating about their choice of friends. I remember that it was George H.W. Bush that had to distance himself from some old Romanian Nazis when it was discovered that they were political operatives in his campaign against Michael Dukakis. Further, George Sr., as you know, counts Rev Moon as his good buddy as well as the heinous dictator, Pinochet. If we look at George Jr. we see more bad choices in associates: VP Cheney and his connection to Saddam Hussein through Halliburton Oil comes to mind. How about John Negropointe, our present UN ambassador, who looked the other way when people were being tortured and murdered in Honduras by death squads while he was ambassador to that country, or that sleazy Eliot Abrams and his creepy doings in Latin America. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that weasel, Karl Rove, and his Machiavellian manipulations. The grandfather's connection to the Nazis sets a precedent. The Bushes will attach themselves to almost anyone if they can make a buck or hold on to power. It's nice that Prescott and George Sr. sometimes acted to show their concern for the little guy, unlike George Jr. who doesn't care about anyone but himself and his associates. However, when it comes right down to it, the Bush family for several generations now has acted in ways that I consider reprehensible.

I really appreciate your writing and 99% of the time your point of view. Your Hunting of the President was wonderful and I also liked your latest book very much. I think, in this instance, that you've not connecting all the dots on the Bushes, however.

The entire Bush family is "a sorry lot," exactly what the president's unpleasant mother called the Democratic candidates recently. As an afflicted Gemini, she always opens her mouth and inserts her foot right up to her hip. Remember Audrey's term for those people: rich trailer trash.
