At first glance, Rush Limbaugh’s horoscope is an enigma. The Capricorn Sun Moon in Pisces combination is generally a positive one. Combining pragmatic ambition and leadership (Capricorn) with compassion and sensitivity (Pisces) as displayed by Martin Luther King, for example, should indicate a person who makes an outstanding contribution to humanity. Limbaugh with his poisonous diatribes as witnessed at the 36th Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on February 28th, however, has done exactly the opposite.
Aquarius Rising generally indicates an individual like Obama who displays detached objectivity, and courage in their support for progressive humanitarian solutions to the world’s knottiest problems. Limbaugh, however, is a radioactive retroactive.
His bullyboy nature is shown by Mars (aggression) in the First House of the personality opposing Pluto (violence) in the Seventh House of relationships. In addition, his lies and dissembling are indicated by Mercury in Capricorn square Saturn in Libra. Still, that doesn’t seem quite enough to clue us into the basis of his sociopathic persona until we look up the degree symbols of first, his Moon in Pisces and second, his Mars, which is part of the bullyboy opposition to Pluto aspect.
The Moon in Pisces makes Limbaugh very sensitive, but unfortunately, very susceptible to poisonous influences in his early home environment. Because of its chameleon like nature, Pisces has to be very careful when picking his or her associates. With a Capricorn Sun (ego) in his 12th house of vulnerabilities and square Neptune (delusion), he may have been a victim when he was young and then turned into the quintessential tyrant to try to gain control (Capricorn) in a chaotic Pisces Moon environment. George Bush also has Sun in the 12th house square Neptune. Both suffer from dangerous feelings of inadequacy. I say dangerous because both men have been extremely destructive in trying to repress these feelings.
The Degree symbol of his sensitive chameleon-like Moon (emotions) is a terrible one. This is from The Zodiac Image Handbook, the Mutable Signs by Helene and Willem Koppejan: In a rich interior, a young man seated at a table is staring at two beautiful daggers laid there in crossed position, and pointing towards him.
The Koppejans describe this as a degree of “homicide or suicide, self-willed death or a tragic dramatic end. There is a lust for destruction or murder and doom on this degree attracting misfortune. These individuals can construct sinister thought forms and attract horrible happenings. They may think they are doing a service for humanity by murdering a certain race, sect, or group. There is character assassination with a pen. Full of vanity and self-love, too easily hurt and too ready to wreak revenge, the person can be a negative loner, brooding on past hurts.”
The second symbol for this Moon in Pisces degree is: A materializing medium summons weird ghostly shapes.
The Koppejans describe this as: When one’s mind is possessed and obsessed by death wishes and murder, one may call up the spirits of the dead. Rush acts like a man possessed by evil discarnate spirits.
Then, there is the degree symbol of his Mars in Aquarius: Under his forefeet, a furious bull is disemboweling a dog. At the right side, a man is opening up a human corpse. Is it his victim or the subject of his pathological studies?
“This person makes spasmodic efforts to dominate something or someone. The fierceness and bloodiness with which this happens can cause a tragedy for these people themselves, as well as their victims. Individuals with this degree like to see violence even with their nearest associates. There is a lack of heart and compassion. Their brutality can be wanton as it is ferocious. This image may be a symbol of the cowardly kicking of a defenseless victim, even to the point of sadism. They like to mutilate their victims before killing them.”
I’ve written about this horrible degree symbol before. You may remember that Sarah Palin, the animal slayer, has Sun in Aquarius at this same degree.
What can be done about Rush? His diatribes are distressing and dangerous; they give a voice to the racist white men in this country, the ones looking for a rationalization for their bigotry. Although the Democrats are using his shenanigans to raise money, still, it is worrisome to hear him rant and rave. First, we can gain some solace by remembering that whenever Good rises in our midst (Obama), Bad is always close behind (Limbaugh and the Republicans). Secondly, we can let God sort him out. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. Rush will be under severe stress when Saturn, which is right now hanging around his 8th House cusp(death), makes it’s second return to it’s natal place in November, squaring Mercury on its way. With that aspect, he could return to the hearing loss that he suffered several years ago before he ultimately meets his maker and the Saturn karma that he created with his bully boy behavior.
