Diane Feinstein is too feminine to be a Senator. No, I don’t mean that femininity precludes doing a good job as a politician. What I’m talking about is the dominance of feminine planets in her horoscope. She is unbalanced with 7 possibly 8, if the Moon is in Cancer, of her planets in feminine signs. She has a stellium of planets in Cancer and Virgo. You’d think she’d be happier staying at home and baking cookies with that combination. Instead she is barreling ahead making bad decisions: her latest is her stated support for Mukasey, the Bush choice for Attorney General, despite his refusal to repudiate water boarding as an acceptable means of coercion. Her positions since 9-11 have, for the most part, allowed Bush to carry on his desecration of our constitutional rights. According to Wikipedia, Feinstein “voted to give the attorney general and the director of national intelligence the power to approve international surveillance of the communications of Americans entirely within the executive branch, rather than through the special intelligence court established by FISA. Many privacy advocates have decried this law and Senator Feinstein's vote in favor of it.”
She also voted for the original Patriot Act and its extension.
With her out of balance tilt towards femininity, Diane is insecure and frightened and her votes are based on this fear. She was born during the Great Depression when Uranus in Aries squared Pluto in Cancer. With Pluto in the sign of the home, catastrophic upheavals in the home transformed family life. Anyone born during this stressful time might suffer from acute insecurity, particularly those that are Cancers. Diane, apparently, uses the aggressive impulsive Aries energy (the only fire sign she has) to try to over compensate for her profound Cancerian insecurity.
The Great Depression was also devastation for a Cancer country like ours and, unfortunately, the Uranus in Aries will square Pluto again in 2011. While Cancer is the home and family, Capricorn denotes governments. Unless we get a president that is of higher consciousness, our government could go through catastrophic transformation under this aspect.
Her Cancerian ego sensitivity and insecurity can also be blamed for her voting. while on the MILCON subcommittee (Military construction, Veterans Affairs), for appropriations worth billions of dollars to firms owned by her husband, Richard C. Blum. His Perini Corporation provides goods and services in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is so frightened of having her material security taken away that despite how much money she and her husband have she is willing to be accused of a scandalous conflict of interest. Her insecurity might also explain her pro-war vote (her pro-Jewish stand, despite the right wing government there also has something to do with it).
Her stellium of Virgo planets explains the silly moral pronouncements which surfaced when she complained that Bill Clinton lied to her about his sexual interludes with Monica Lewinsky. As if the president of the United States was going to take a woman senator into his confidence about his sexual proclivities.
