About the Authors
Patricia Roland-James' first childrens book, Something Wicked in the Land of Picatrix, follows close on the heels of her publishing debut with Raven: The Praying Bird--a fast paced mystery for adults to which she is currently writing a sequel, Raven: The Bird and the Bedfellows. Something Wicked in the Land of Picatrix couldn't have been written without Robert James and his fantastic ideas. He likes children's books and fantasy novels as well as working as a computer consultant.
Sharon Verhoef illustrated the cover and three of the drawings in Something Wicked in the Land of :Picatrix. She has been an artist for 40 years displaying her art in numerous galleries and shows in Southern California. She is the cover illustrator of Raven: The Praying Bird and in her spare time likes to draw pictures of fairies.
Pamela S. Pinkham helped to illustrate the cover and is responsible for seven of the drawings in Something Wicked in the Land of Picatrix. Her artwork has been displayed and sold at galleries and shows throughout Northern California including the California Museum of Art, Art for Life, and the Chroma Gallery. Pamela has two children and likes Harry Potter and the Eragon series of books.
As a professional editor and web designer, Scarlett Chidgey has been instrumental in getting Aquila Ink off the ground.
