Psychic Vera’s Cosmic Advice Week of February 15

During the next seven days the Moon travels from Gemini to Leo.

Gemini Monday and Tuesday are good days to focus on communications and research. Cancer Wednesday, Thursday, Friday morning and afternoon focus is on the home and family. Leo Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday are good days for creative projects and hobbies.

There are two significant planetary events this week. On Tuesday, Venus travels into Aquarius.  Love and art can be a little strange under this influence.  On Thursday, the 18th, the Sun travels into Pisces. it’s time for letting go of things, people, situations, the past to get ready for the astrological New Year which is Spring, when the Sun goes into Aries next month.  Letting go, while necessary, is often not pleasant and that’s one reason Pisces can be a sorrowful sign.  Pisces always seems to be dealing with loss.  Besides letting go of the old to usher in the new, this is a month for creative projects, particularly music, and taking nature walks.  It’s a good month for compassion, as long as we don’t wear other people’s misery like a cloak.

In Mayan Astrology* on February 5th, the cycle changed to 1 Imix, also known as crocodile. People struggle for security, nationalism increases. Schools and children are in the news. Creativity is supported. On February 18th the 13 day cycle changes to 1 IX, also known as Jaguar. The issue during this period is control over passions. Reckless and prideful behaviors often cause problems but they can be resolved through psychotherapy.

There are no long void-of-course Moon periods.

Good days for planting are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Remember, being aware of astrological energies means that not only are we in tune with the cosmos, we’re also in tune with ourselves. Socrates said an unexamined life is not worth living, and another ancient Greek said, Know thyself. We can convert stressful planetary aspects to harmonious energies if we are aware of how they affect us and we are willing to take responsibility for our actions, without blaming others for our difficulties.
